🙌 Culture

By joining our practices you agree to:

Please do not:

In short, be nice, play hard, and learn!

📋  Practice Plan

To make things a bit predictable, we have planned out practice session themes for the year.

Starting from March, we will rotate through vertical, horizontal, and zone as thematic focuses for each month (e.g. in July, the thematic focus is horizontal stack). Each rotation may become more advanced as the year progresses. For each week in the month, there will be a rotating focus on cutting, handling, offense, defense, and a special week (when there is a 5th week in the month) to focus on a theme specific skill. Graphically it looks like this (click on the image to enlarge):

Feel free to join in a week or month that suits your needs. Otherwise, just join the whole way through and we’ll keep track :)

Note that coaches reserve the right to make last minute changes to the plan as required to meet the needs of the community.

Skills Practice details: Sundays, 10:00 AM @ Mitchell Park, Palo Alto (see the map below for where we meet in the park)

🌱 Our Story

During a summer ultimate league back in 2021, Annette, Mamabird, Felicia, and Ted all met while playing together. One evening while having dinner after a game, they were discussing how there were several great pick up games across the bay but no where to learn and practice skills and thus the South Bay Ultimate Skills Clinic, or SBUSC, was born! The first ever practice (way back on August 1st, 2021) only had four people but now we regularly host groups of 20 or more players each week.
